Simon Jacobs BSc(Hons) MESA (Partner)
Simon has been with the firm since 1989.
Prior to joining Jacobs - Simon graduated from City University in London in 1989 after achieving a degree in Business Systems and Computing.
Simon is Vice President of the Enforcement Services Association, having served previously as the Treasurer and on the Executive Council. Simon has also served on the Board of Directors of the World Association of Detectives since 2001.
Simon’s main responsibilities include IT development and client contract management.
Simon's interests outside of the business revolve around his family but he also likes to play golf and go to watch Everton Football Club.
Paula Jacobs BA(Hons) (Partner)
Paula has worked for the firm since 1988.
Paula joined the company to assist her father straight after she had completed her GCSE’s, and she has since successfully completed a degree in Business Studies.
Paula's main responsibilities include Bailiff Performance Management, Training & Development and overseeing our Office Management Team, ensuring that working practices / procedures are constantly moving forward.
Paula holds monthly debriefs with all of our managers in order to ensure the business is functioning, as it should be in order to service our clients effectively.
In her spare time Paula likes skiing, keeping fit and she also enjoys going to see comedians such as Michael McIntyre and Al Murray.
David Cornes IRRV MESA (Partner)
David joined Jacobs in February 1999 and is the first non-Jacobs family member to be made a Partner.
David gained 16 years local taxation experience working for Sefton MBC and Chester City Council prior to being appointed Revenues and Benefits Manager for Congleton BC in 1997.
David's main responsibilities are business development and client contract management.
David was President of the Lancashire & Cheshire IRRV Association in 2005. He is currently the Treasurer of the Enforcement Services Association (ESA).
David was appointed Partner in the firm in 2001 when Alan Jacobs retired.
Outside of work David enjoys travelling, golf and watching Liverpool Football Club.
Alyn Lewis IRRV(Tech) (Business Partnerships Manager)
Alyn joined Jacobs in September 2009.
Alyn has 21 years local taxation experience with Flintshire County Council and he was their Head of Financial Customer Services for 6 years.
Alyn's main responsibility is to increase our client portfolio throughout both England and Wales and he is currently serving on IRRV North Wales Executive Council as their Education and Training Officer.
Alyn's interests outside of work include his family, cooking and "his version" of playing golf.
Paul Kelly IRRV MESA (Client Services Manager)
Paul joined Jacobs in July 2006 after spending 20 years working for local authorities.
He has held local taxation management positions with St. Helens MBC, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Knowsley MBC and Trafford MBC.
Paul's main responsibility is to manage our current clients and he also gets heavily involved with the tender documentation preparation.
Paul is an elected member of the Executive Council of the Enforcement Services Association and is an Executive member of the Lancashire & Cheshire Association of the IRRV.
Outside of work Paul is a school governor and his hobbies include karate and supporting Everton Football Club.
Claire Hayes (Business Development Executive)
Claire joined Jacobs in March 2009 having gained valuable sales and customer service experience with Rok Construction, Chester Racecourse and HBOS.
Claire's key responsibility is to build up new and existing prospects in order to further enhance Jacobs’ position as one of the major providers of bailiff and debt recovery services to local authorities.
Outside of work Claire has several interests including developing her DIY skills as she carries out home improvements to her home that was purchased in the summer of 2008.
