Jacobs enforce local taxation liability orders for over 72 of our clients throughout England and Wales.

Local Taxation has to be collected in an effective, professional and receptive manner and Jacobs are 100% committed to providing clients with a bespoke service that combines the required sensitivity with our high collection rates.

Working with clients, the Jacobs structure revolves around accountable recovery teams. Each client has dedicated resources looking after their caseloads under the supervision of our Recovery Administration Manager and the Partners.

All our bailiffs are certificated through the County Court and are professionally trained. We adhere to national standards, codes of practice and are full members of the Enforcement Services Association. Our bailiffs are trained to identify vulnerable cases and we have introduced a CAB protocol to ensure we maximise collections whilst working alongside Advice and Welfare Advisors.

Clients are able to view cases online (ClientWeb) in order to get up to date information including the full case history, visits made, fees charged, phone calls/correspondence received, payments made. Any changes made are automatically sent to the visiting bailiffs via SMS message.

Jacobs guarantee that our first contact with each debtor is by a personal visit. Cases are progressed through our system automatically and our quality procedures (BSEN 9001:2000) ensure all client requirements are fully met and cases are actioned in a prompt and effective manner.

Although rare, complaints are dealt with seriously via our complaints handling procedure.

At Jacobs, we have a dedicated Complaints Manager to ensure clients receive a fast and fair response. All complaints are analysed every 6 months to identify trends and corrective / preventative actions necessary. The partners are made aware of all complaints received.
