The Enforcement Services Association (ESA) has a new President-elect.
Simon Jacobs, Partner, took up this prestigious appointment to office at this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Association held on Wednesday 12th May 2010.
Simon will lead the Association for the next two years, and looks very much forward to the challenges of office.
Simon Jacobs, new ESA President, said “ I am delighted to take up this appointment and role, and would like to thank my colleagues in the association for their support. I am looking forward to the challenges of office, and in particular now the Enforcement Industry is going through considerable change. Various aspects of the draft Courts and Tribunal Act is still being considered by the Ministry of Justice, and myself and colleagues of the ESA have been at the forefront in developing the legislation alongside the MOJ. The Industry will see new licensing proposals alongside a new fee structure, by 2012, and it is imperative that the ESA has a strong voice and input into the process”
Jacobs are also proud to report that Dave Cornes, Partner, has been appointed to serve a further term as the associations Treasurer, and as a member of the New Examinations Sub Committee. The work of the committee will be to design, develop, and implement a new examination structure for the association, in readiness for the new legislation and requirements for the Industry.
A further role in Office for the Firm was the reappointment of Paul Kelly, Client Services Manager, to the Executive Council for a further term.
Jacobs are committed to raising the professional standards across the Industry and these appointments demonstrate our passion to be at the forefront of the enforcement industry and leading change.
