Performance Awards Overview
Each year the IRRV (Institute of Revenues, Rating & Valuation) hold a national Performance Award scheme that recognises the achievements made, good practice and models of excellence.
The awards are open to all Local Authorities and private organisations working within the profession of Revenues, Rating and Valuation, both in the UK and abroad.
The awards are very prestigious and attract a very high number of submissions each year. Indeed, the 2011 Awards seen an unprecedented number of submissions.
We are therefore highly delighted to have been selected as finalists and go on to receive two awards in the categories of:
Excellence in Education, Training & Development
Excellence in Innovation
The Process
Having contributed to client’s submission in previous years, and being involved in the national conference and IRRV, we thought that we would have strong submissions in the two categories.
There are many examples in our organisation of excellence in the way that we deliver our services to our clients, and go that extra mile in all that we do.
We made two written submissions based on:
- Our Internal Training of all staff and commitment to lifelong learning
- Our Training for Clients & Citizens Advice / Welfare Advisors
- Our Innovative process – Technology and Added Value Services
The Inspection
Members of the Awards panel undertook two in-depth and very comprehensive site inspections for each category. The Inspections allowed us to demonstrate our key strengths and achievements in each category, alongside verify our submission with evidence.
The Awards Ceremony
The awards were hosted by Olympic & Commonwealth Medallist Colin Jackson CBE, and this year, as it was an Olympic theme, there were 3 categories of award, Gold, Silver & Bronze.
Jacobs are extremely delighted to be the only Bailiff & Debt Recovery organisation to receive an award…….and in two categories!
